Reed Pages is new magazine that just popped up over here. Their first issue has interviews with: Hypbeast, Jose Parla and Threadless.com (along with many more). Flipping through the pages of this one is an incredibly enjoyable experience. With the newsprint-like paper and the large format of it all, it makes for a very nice read. What I also like about it, is the fact that they order the magazine in alphabetical order, being completely unbiased towards the artists/people.

O.K. Periodicals is a design magazine published bi-annually. “(Issue #2 focuses on failure) and will show you how to appreciate your mistakes, and make them work for you.” But, what really had me in awe was that fact that not every one of these printed look the exactly alike, inside. They exposed the first 32 page to multiple print errors, making every copy unique!

Popshot just sent me the premier issue of their zine, which displays fabulous poems and illustrations. The first issue’s poems focus on the ordinary things in life. Although, what really had me interested were these magnificent illustrations – most of the artists I had never heard of before! For $8 you really can’t go wrong with this one. Oh and they are also taking submissions for issue #2!

Amy over at Pikaland has a good thing going on with her zine, Good To Know. The second issue is all about personal style and the importance of knowing what that style is (a great topic for discussion)! Similar Posts:

A great little photo zine called All Things Ordinary just showed up on my doorstep. Issue #1 of this LA-based publication features work by many photographers I’ve mentioned before: Bryan Schutmaat, Ye Rin Mok, Nicholas Haggard, Eleanor Hardwick, and my friend Erin Loechner (Design For Mankind)!

Little White Lies is a zine centered around film. I can’t even begin to tell you how well design this thing is. The format and graphics are just incredible, not to mention the cover, which definitely kicks a lot of ass. Issue #23 goes in-depth about the new Star Trek movie. If you’re into film and the like, this is the magazine subscription you’ve been waiting for!

Jeffrey Bowman (aka Mr. Bowlegs) just sent me this nice zine he made, it’s called “Doodling For Doodling Sake“. Inside are neat black and white illustrations. My favorite one being the large repetitive one, right in the middle of the zine! For just $7, you can pick up your very own copy, out of the limited edition of 50!

Ryan Bublis just sent over the first issue of his publication, From the Ground Up, which features beautiful (and I mean it!) black & white illustrations he made. And for only $6, you really can’t pass it up! Also check out some of the other work he has up on his site.
