Target Clock

Target Clock started as a graphical reduction of the traditional clock hand motif and eventually led to the idea of two moving discs of flat contrasting colour, the boundaries indicating the hand positions. The resulting minimal icon-like graphic makes it more readable from long distance than a conventional clock.

Instead, they have invested the flow of electronic information with a metaphysical significance about human nature and how things work."...

The Battle Of Kitsch And Beauty

"Kitsch encourages us to dwell on our own satisfactions and anxieties; it tells us to be pleased with what we have always felt and known. It reaches us at the level where we are easiest to please … Beauty, on the other hand, demands we consider its meaning. It implies a larger world than the one we deal with every day.
